Drew McDowell always tried to fit in some volunteer time here and there. Before his trip to Southeast Asia in 2005, he worked in sales from a cubicle in Denver. His background in finance and business had prepared him for that, but it wasn't his passion.
In November of 2005, Drew said "goodbye" to the cubicle-life and headed off for a much needed five-week vacation in Southeast Asia. He expected to return home and hit the job search trail, but after experiencing the orphanage in Cambodia, he came back with a completely different ambition.
So affected by Cambodia and its people, Drew decided to go back there to help. Using his sales expertise, he connected with a friend from Village Earth and began to fundraise for the orphanage.
Now, he's moved out of his home and transfered his belongings to a storage unit.
